This is my weekly contribution to a global blog hop around crafty workspaces. Come and join in, or just have a nose. Julia @ Stamping Ground is the lady who keeps us all in order! WOYWW stands for What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
We made these pretty Thank You cards at the Tuesday Papercraft group. There will be a matching box for them to be presented as a gift, but that is what I missed making last week. I will catch up in the coming weeks. Do you notice something? Well, two things. First of all, we used peel-offs. Seems they are coming back into ‘fashion’. I don’t have any in my craft room now. They certainly make cardmaking simpler. The second thing – I made the silver bow myself. I am not known for my ability to make a neat bow, or actually to use a bow at all. However, Jan our Tutor, persuaded me to give it a go – and I was very proud with the result.

On the way home I stopped off in Haverfordwest and visited the craft shop there. There were new Pixie Powder colours to be viewed (these ones are called Pixie Bursts – think they have a mixture of colours in each one?) – and the full set purchased (would have been rude not to). They are from Creative Expressions and were featured on the new tv channel – HobbyMaker TV. You can see all the products featured in the show at a very good price at the website for In2Craft (if you are in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, go and see Ben in the shop in Bridge Street).
I also found 2 more dog-themed sets to make cards for charity.

Having Sunday as my personal crafting day is not working out, ie I need more time, especially when the weather is good enough for us to go out for a walk and have F1 to watch. I announced to hubby that at least one evening per week I would be found in my craft room, which suits him, as he is starting to cycle regularly again.
I need some more time to enjoy my ‘hobby’ and escape from the ever more busy household/workload. Crafting is such a good distraction for me from my pain and other symptoms.
Until next time.
Oh Those cards are really pretty Ali, I love the soft colours and lacy bits! I don’t get on well with peel offs so well done for using them and making them look good. Isn’t the weather fantastic? I’d rather be outdoors than crafting at the moment, that’s for sure. I’m sitting typing this with the patio doors open and am listening to the buzzards calling above the hill behind Burry Port…happy days!

Afternoon Ali. Those cards are lovely – well done. I admit to having always used peel-offs. I love using them. I don’t know about in or out of fashion – just use them. I’m often found in craft shops buying more of them… oops! I’m not good at bows either, so confess to keeping a little stock of them ready to use in various different colours.
Take care. God bless.

Gorgeous cards Ali and the Pixie Powders are a great investment. One of the ladies at our craft club showed me some that she had bought and it looked beautiful. Hope you get more time to enjoy your new toys. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x13x
Look forward to seeing how you work with the bursts Ali – an extra evening a week sounds good for crafting, especially as the clocks will be going forward soon and the evenings will be lighter. I like peel offs as sentiments and still have quite a few. Glad you were up to class this week. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
