Good morning from a sunny Pembrokeshire and Happy 13th WOYWW Anniversary (What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday – join in at Stamping Ground). I will fully admit that ATCs are not made or even any ideas thought about, but that will change later today – and I will get some in the post tomorrow to those that I offered to swap with.
I am struggling with memory and motivation at the moment (need more sleep and less stress !), and forgot to take my box project with me to our Tuesday Papercraft Group, so it is still to be decorated. However, I made a start on the scrapbook mini album that will live in the drawer section. Some complicated wielding of red line tape to get the spine installed. I will do some work on both the album and the box before next Tuesday (this weekend I plan to have some crafty time). You can see the start of the album on my crafty table, along with the little tray I took with me to the monthly Chapel Craft Group last night. The tray contains my glue gun and fabric scissors. We made a start on a project, which we will be finishing next month. I was concentrating (and chatting) so much that I didn’t take any photos. It involves strips of fabric and rope – very intriguing!
My lack of crafty mojo and thinking about when we move to a smaller house has started another Craft Room Declutter. (Read my blog post about Organising Craft Supplies.) I have some members of our local papercraft community coming to fight over what I no longer need or want. I made a start with sorting and magazines etc are now sitting on my spare table. I will go through the rest of my stash today. I think our lives go through different cycles and sometimes we just do not need something in our lives to the same extent as before. I was the same with cross stitching – one day I realised that I just didn’t want to stitch any more (for so many reasons) and I haven’t missed it since. My time and energy (and money) is being prioritised elsewhere a lot now.

A recent health emergency in our family and ongoing concerns made me think more about how I want to spend my precious days, and crafting will, I think, mainly be a social activity now – with the occasional burst of enthusiasm for creating something at home. I am definitely looking forward to our crop on 1st October. It is in the calendar and we will travel up the day before, so I am well rested and able to chat to you all.
Until next time.
Oh I do love a mini-album, totally my favourite thing to craft. I will very much look forward to seeing it. I will scan an ATC and prep it for exchange, and hope my email makes it to you. Visiting your blog always inspires me and I hope to see you at the crop in October!
hugs and Happy 13th year of WOYWW!

Happy 13th WOYWW Ali! I always think you have something interesting on the go and that craft group you go to sounds as if they have some excellent ideas, fabric and rope huh? I’m trying to think what you could be doing…a variation on macrame? Good for you for sorting out and decluttering, great to know that others will benefit as well!
Hugs LLJ 6 xx
Sending big hugs, Ali. A good idea to get the recipients of your de-stash to come and sort it out.
Who was it said ‘Simplify and add lightness’?
I hope you enjoy today and that it feeds your crafty mojo.
Take care and happy WOYWW
Anniversary

Happy WOYWW 13th Anniversary Ali. I decided to stop cross stitching when my eyes started to blur every time I looked at it. I have one 3/4 completed project that I thought I would finish, but it has been a few years now! Good luck with the decluttering -an exhausting job in itself, hugs Angela #13

I just created my second mini-album. I fear I prefer larger to small, but I did these for a challenge. Sometimes our tastes change and we no longer care for a craft project. Purging is good., Happy WOYWW from #1.
I’m hoping to comment on all blogs today [I’m using the laptop cos I struggle on my Ipad] Happy Anniversary to you. It’s a wonderful community we belong to and it’s so lovely to have made so many friends thanks to our WOYWW link ups.
Hugs,

Hi Ali, Happy Anniversary my friend. You’re not the only one that forgets to take stuff to the craft club, I’ve done that too. It’s easy to forget things when you have other stuff on your mind. Wishing you a very happy woyww on this special day. Hugs Angela x15x
I love mini albums and look forward to seeing yours. I am glad that you have had some crafting time with friends. My ATC will be in the post to you tomorrow! Happy WOYWW Anniversary. Take care. With Love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#11)
It will be great to see you at the crop Ali. It sounds like your priorities are the right ones for you. Look forward to seeing more photos of your ongoing projects. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
Making a mini album sounds like fun, I shall look forward to seeing it. I have been de-cluttering on a magnificent scale and I have to say it feels fantastic to let go of things that I’ve been holding on to for years – you are so right when you say we go through different cycles.
Happy 13th WOYWW anniversary, I hope you have a lovely week,
Diana xx #18
Sorry you’re struggling but good luck with the latest declutter. I really need something to kickstart one here!
glad I am able to swap with you, will send tomorrow.xx Helen #3
Well you call it a mini album….looks fantastic by the way, if not as mini as I had in my minds eye! I’ve spent some years working out that I’m definitely a social scrapbooker, never really do much at home, but I like to stamp and make cards at home. Good that we learn about ourselves eventually though, huh! Be great to see you at crop, we will publish more detail fairly soon.
I have the makings of a mini album next to me here…hope I get around to finishing it!
Happy 13th WOYWW Anniversary!
Stay safe and keep well!

Like you I did not get round to the ATCs as had computer trouble.its strange how life just gets in the way,
Take care and stay safe,
I find it so hard to part with things that I fear I will never be straight. Piles of magazines and offcuts of paper are my main problem! If we get to the crop can you give me a good talking to ? (grin) Have a great weekend , hugs, Chrisx #27
Happy belated 13th!
I’m done painting and am slowly working on putting stuff back.
Fabric and rope does sound interesting! And I hope the album goes well!
Have a great weekend.

I seem to be going the same way with crafting, as not much going on here except the essentials really. Hope you declutter goes OK and that the family health concern is less of a concern now – hugs
Sorry I’m so late, I seem to get busy Wednesday’s through the weekend….
Happy very belated WOYWW Anniversary BJ#18
My comment didn’t seem to publish – I love that you are able to pass on some of your little used craft items! I really need to get to grips with the magazine mountain! Chris 27
