This is a huge topic, which I definitely cannot cover in any detail. I have been an affiliate for various different companies/authors etc for many years, and income trickles in from that. However, earlier this year I was introduced to Wealthy Affiliates and joined straightaway. It was just what I needed for making money online with Affiliate Marketing.
Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning I get a commission if you decide to make a purchase through my links, at no cost to you.’
I love blogging – helping my readers, showing them what I use in my personal and working life, creating a community …. It is relatively simple to incorporate Affiliate Marketing into your blog. You can make it complicated, as with anything in life, but one of my main aims is to keep my life balanced and simple. Living with both Chronic Pain and Chronic Fatigue means that I have to pace myself and keep stress to the minimum.
I ensure that I use affiliate links wherever possible, so that my readers can take advantage of what is helping me in my life, especially if I can offer a discount code. I also use affiliate links on the side and footer of my website. These are my own books published on Amazon, Pinterest and the companies/products that I use the most.
Have a think about what you could be an affiliate for? Do you have a hobby, a favourite sport, a website or retailer that you use all the time, software, training courses, books ….
The main aim I have for my blogging is to help my readers and to create a community around the subjects I blog about (living with Chronic Pain/Fatigue, Menopause, creating passive income whilst working at home online, crafting and more). Making money online with Affiliate Marketing is a bonus, which complements my income from Amazon KDP. Both are passive income, which is what I need. Me and hubby are planning to do some house sitting assignments in the coming years, and being able to work anywhere with wifi is very exciting.
Wealthy Affiliates has the best training for affiliates in the world. I am working through their general training, which is 50 lessons showing you everything needed for creating and growing a business within any niche, including how to create a website. This alone is worth the monthly fee, before you factor in the website hosting and 24/7 support. I have also started their Affiliate Bootcamp, which is 70 more specific lessons. Enough to keep you busy and learning for a long time! Don’t let it overwhelm you. Take it slow and make sure you get the rest you need.
Go and take a look now. You can create a Free Starter Account, try it all out, chat and ask questions – and then upgrade to Premium for the full experience and training (which currently costs $49 per month). I upgraded within a couple of hours!
I look forward to seeing you there and supporting you as you join me on my passive income journey.
Until next time.
