Jigsaw Sorting Trays and Box Making | WOYWW 672

Posted on 20/04/202218/05/2022 by Ali

Yet again I am getting closer to the end of this Wednesday than the start.  The day has passed with an assortment of different tasks/conversations, all with the sun shining outside (I have been out there to get my guinea pigs cleaned out and their stable swept).  Windows are open in the house and washing on the line.  The grass is growing very fast on the farm, so hubby is happy.

I have set up the spare table in my craft room as a Jigsaw Zone – with jigsaw sorting trays and a ‘Portapuzzle’ board purchased from The Works.  A nice area next to a window and able to watch some YouTube whilst I started sorting out one of my latest charity shop buys.

I am sharing this and some of my crafting as part of WOYWW (What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday) – join in every Wednesday HERE.

At our Tuesday Papercraft group in Milford Marina, we started a much-awaited project, which will take at least 3 weeks.  Building a more complicated box/drawer unit, which will also have a memory book to go in the drawer.  I got the plinth, drawer, and part of the housing unit finished this week.  It will all be decorated with whichever papers we choose – plus flowers etc.  More next week!

Here it is.  Jan, our lovely tutor, spends a lot of time getting the kits prepped for us – with most things cut out.

I also went to the monthly craft group at a local chapel yesterday evening.  We did crochet.  No photos, as I was really struggling to understand the pattern (not got that far in the online course I am doing with Sigoni Macaroni).

I hope everyone is well and I am looking forward to visiting your blogs this week.  This week has been very full with farm business stuff, getting my first Visitor Guest Book published on Amazon (for Pembrokeshire – will be doing other Welsh and UK areas, plus specific ones for campsites, glamping and shepherds huts), and family.

Until next time.

Hope you have fun with the jigsaw puzzles. I bought a few during Lock Down but only opened one but I’m sure I’ll get back to them some time. Wishing you a very happy belated woyww, Angela x9x

I have never seen such a neat, uncluttered space! Amazing! Yay, for sorting containers for the puzzle. Thanks for sharing. #3

The jigsaw sorting stuff looks very useful, I tend to spread mine out on the dining room table which isn’t often that convenient, lol! The big project looks awesome, I do love a good set of drawers, what a fab thing to make, you’ll really enjoy that!
It’s funny how gardeners swear when the grass grows well but farmers are happy!!

Crochet is a funny thing, I can see it from a pattern but struggle with written instructions, whereas a friend can’t use a pattern to save her life. I think once you’ve got your basic knots and remember to suss out whether the pattern is using English or American terms then you’ll be off! I do love a jigsaw, but don’t organise it like you, just spread pieces out randomly on the counter and we each do a bit as we pass. Or not, depending on the hard factor. Current WIP is v hard, one of those Wasjigs!
